"I have been building my skills and experience in the industry since 2016. I set up Earth & Beauty itself  in 2019 and it has been a whirlwind of fun and progress since then. I offer a wide range of services including aesthetics, semi permanent makeup, non surgical body contouring, and beauty and wellness treatments, but I am most well known for my elite skills when it comes to brow artistry. It all started in 2016 when I taught myself the ancient art of eyebrow threading, and since then I have continued working hard, building a strong reputation in the local community and have absolutely loved carrying out thousands of treatments in this time."

Entering the beauty industry in 2016 with nothing but a piece of thread and a dream, Jayda based herself at well-known high-street chain offering brow and facial threading services. She continued this for over a year but felt that she would thrive more outside of a retail environment. Shortly after this, Jayda moved to her own small, treatment room where she worked hard building her clientele and began to expand her services through training in more treatments. Jayda remained at this location until the lockdown and used her business grant to expand and obtain her first commercial premises in Weymouth town centre. The first shop in town was a fun and educational experience that was a rollercoaster and learning curve. After two years at that salon Jayda upgraded to a bigger premises across the street, which was Earth & Beauty's home for a  further two years. During this time Jayda added a multitude of new treatments and launched her own training academy. Since then, Jayda has been lucky enough to be able to reduce her working hours to achieve a healthier work-life balance and restructure her business to suit her life. This change has meant that Earth & Beauty now provides Jayda with more flexibility and freedom, and the ability to focus on offering training courses and services from different locations.

During her downtime Jayda attends classes and workshops for bachata dancing, and lots of fun Latin parties around the south coast. Jayda regularly visits Bournemouth & London and loves exploring new places - near and far. Jayda has travelled to many countries and loves immersing herself into local culture and cuisine. Jayda really loves the sky and has even had a flying lesson, paraglided and skydived! As well as this, Jayda is an avid lover of the stars and moon; having enjoyed stargazing in Swanage during a meteor shower and visited planetariums. It would  be a fair comment to say that Jayda is an absolute nature lover; favouring lakes, forests and mountains more than any other setting.

"I have a strong passion for natural health, wellness and remedies and have a certificate in holistic health, plus a qualification in diet and nutrition. I am constantly researching natural remedies and have improved many of my own ailments through natural measures. Jayda was born in London to both English and Turkish heritage and has grown up between London, Essex and Suffolk, having settled in Dorset in her early 20s many years ago. Jayda's first language is English but also speaks Turkish as a second language. Before entering the beauty and aesthetics world, Jayda enjoyed careers in some completely different roles. For a while Jayda was a Youth and Outreach Worker helping young people gain the confidence to re-enter work and education through organising and supporting  range of personal development programmes. As well as this, Jayda also worked as a Detainee Custody Officer, driving prison vans and escorting immigration-status detainees around the UK through prisons, airports, police stations and courts. Alongside running Earth & Beauty, Jayda also taught Maths & English Functional Skills to 16-18 year olds at an education centre in Weymouth, helping young people to move forward with their life  positively.
