Threading of the upper lip area. No pain-No gain! This treatment will banish those unsightly upper lip hairs and leave you with a softer and more youthful appearance and more kissable lips! You will find that make-up applies much more evenly and those who prefer a natural-look will feel more confident with a smoother complexion. Upper lip hair can otherwise create the appearance of a shadow and uneven skin tone. And let's not mention how they stand out on a sunny day! Upper lip hair can also draw attention to upper lip wrinkles and actually make them look worse than they are! The ancient art of threading dates back to over 6000 years ago and is mainly practised in cultures of Middle Eastern, Indian and Asian descent. Threading removes the hair from the follicle and is comparable to waxing, but without the use of heat or chemicals. Many people for this reason, find threading preferable over waxing as they find it much kinder to their skin. Those with sensitive skin types will especially enjoy the difference of using this natural method of facial hair removal for this very reason. Is threading painful? | You can expect some mild discomfort during and after the threading treatment such as soreness, tingling and a slight warmness to the treated area. This is completely normal and aloe vera gel will be used to soothe the area before you leave. You may also notice some small bumps, inflammation or pigmentation immediately after the treatment which is completely normal and usually goes down within a couple of hours. It is important to time your threading treatment according to the after-care and keeping in mind the skin in the treated area could appear red for up to a few hours afterwards. Note- Aloe vera gel is the one of the few products along with witch hazel and rose water that is suitable to apply to the treated area within the first 48 hours after the treatment has been carried out. This is to allow the skin to soothe and for the pores to close without any clogging or further irritation occurring. Threading After-care | Clients are encouraged to not excessively touch the treated area after threading as to not pass bacteria into the open pores. Pores can remain open for up to 48 hours so this should certainly be kept in mind. Similarly, perfumed products and any type of cosmetics should be avoided on the treated area for up to 48 hours so to avoid clogging of the pores which can in turn lead to irritation, spots and infection.
Cancellation Policy
Payment- All appointments must be paid for in full when booking. This is the payment system that works best for the business and is not intended to discriminate against clients who prefer using cash. Rescheduling with more than 48 hours’ notice- Appointments can be rescheduled free of charge through the self-service booking system until 48 hours before the appointment begins. Please amend your existing booking rather than cancelling and making a new one, as your prepayment is attached to the original booking. Cancelling or rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice- Your prepayment includes a non-refundable late cancellation or rescheduling fee of 50p per minute of the booked appointment: * 30 minutes: £15 * 60 minutes: £30 * 90 minutes: £45 * 120 minutes: £60 If you cancel or request to reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, this fee will be deducted from your prepayment and the remaining balance will be refunded. You will then need to make and pay for a new appointment through the booking system at www.earthandbeauty.co.uk Treatment subscriptions- A minimum of three treatment sessions must be redeemed under any treatment subscription. If you request cancellation before three sessions have been redeemed, any treatments already received will be recalculated at their full standard price without the subscription discount. You must pay the difference between the subscription price paid and the full standard price of those treatments before the subscription can be cancelled.
